- look at the University's 5-year plan
- read the reports from The President's Select Committee on Efficiencies and Innovations who made 60 recommendations for cuts/merges
- you probably want to get a copy of the University Budget, which can be found online and become familiar with programs offered at the university;
- you will need to spend some time researching the university and its programs.
So we all should obviously do number 4, but let's delve out who can get started on the other number. And please add in more suggestions. Comment comment comment. This is how we are discussing the project.

ReplyDeleteI have looked at the 2010 Exhibit D. I noticed that there are many positions vacant on the list. This may be one way to recoup money that is not effectively used.

I am looking at 2010 because it is the current year. Also the position that are vacant is a way to save money now.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone help me locate a 5 year plan on the MSU website? I am able to find information regarding different budget years from different places on the website, but nothing that specifically addresses a 5 year plan.
